Little on my childhood & family background
I come from a very sporty family and I believe that I have very strong genes which I want to develop to their fullest. My Grandfather used to work as a farmer and was very strong. My father used to play various sports very well and used to be Captain in different sports and was very strong. I believe that these strong genes have been passed on to my brother and me and we feel truly blessed. My elder brother also used to play Basketball very well during his school days. I, too, played sports like Hockey, Cricket and Basketball during my school days. Apart from this, I learnt Kung-Fu for a year and a half when I was in class 10th and that helped me gain a lot of self-confidence and a strong belief in myself.
My Education and Training in Australia
Masters Degree from Australia
In 2004, I decided to go to Australia for higher studies and to settle down there. In 2006, I completed my Masters degree in Commerce specialised in Accounting which made getting the Australian Permanent Residency a lot easier.
Martial Arts Training in Australia
During my time in Australia as a Student, I decided to join Martial Arts at the “Six Harmonies Kung-fu Academy (SHMA)”, where I developed overall body strength through practice of foundations or Basics. I got a lot of love and respect from my teacher and my kung-fu family over the 7 years I spent at the Academy.
Life Coach Training in Australia
During my time in Australia, I came across Motivational Speaker & World Renowned Life Coach, Tony Robbins audios and started listening to them over and over again while going on long walks. I was always curious to know more about why people behaved the way they behaved in different situations and wanted to understand more on Human needs and behaviour. This made me to enrol for a Life Coach training course at the renowned “The Coaching Institute (TCI)” where I came across a very powerful technology called NLP or the Language of the Human Mind, which I highly encourage you to learn.
Wellness Coach Training from USA (online version)
Since Health and Wellness have always been my areas of passion, I also enrolled later for a Wellness Coaching Course online version from the reputed “Wellcoaches Inc. USA”. That course also helped me understand the true power of Coaching, the process of empowering Clients to bring out their own solutions by listening and creating that space of safety and asking powerful questions. This course also taught me very powerful methodologies like Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology and Non-Violent Communication. I highly encourage you to look into these if you are a student of Human Psychology.
Personal Trainer Training and Australian Fitness Industry Clients Training Experience
Due to my strong interest in Fitness and understanding Human Body and performing to our Best, I decided to enrol in Certificate 3 and 4 in the course offered by a Fitness training Institute “Australian Fitness Academy (AFA)”. After successfully completing my certifications from AFA, I decided to work in the Australian Fitness Industry to use my passion, knowledge and expertise to help my clients.
Over the years, I have trained many clients from different walks of life and ranging from very young to very old and of different abilities in different commercial gyms like Genesis, Fit n Fast Gym and Corporate Gym like Corporate Health Management (CHM). I also feel blessed working with a lot of my Personal Training Clients in Australia and having helped them become stronger and move better.
Over the years training my clients personally and in groups, I have done certifications in the most effective Functional Fitness Tools in the Industry today namely TRX Suspension Training system, Kettlebells, Barbells and Boxing and Kickboxing.
My visit to India in Aug 2013 and life takes a new turn
In 2013, I decided to spend 3 months holiday with my family in New Delhi, India before I going back to Melbourne and starting my own Personal Training Studio in a partnership with one of my Aussie friend also a Personal Trainer like me.
I was blessed to have conducted Suspension Training Instructors Workshop at Anytime Fitness Gym, Malviya Nagar in 2013 which was arranged by one of my childhood friend. I realised during that time that “Functional Fitness Training” was missing in gyms in India and there was a big need for Quality Certified Instructors who could deliver Functional Training to the clients in Indian Gyms and Sports.
So, I decided to form a team and co-founded FMA Fitness, a family fitness, wellness and martial arts centre in New Delhi, India.
Over 6 years under FMA Fitness banner, my team and I trained hundreds of our wonderful clients using some of the most effective Functional Training tools in the Fitness industry today.
I also designed a “Functional Fitness Instructors Training Course” for anyone wanting to become a Top Functional Fitness Instructor to train Individuals and Groups.
During this period, I completed more important certifications from Industry Leaders namely TRX Functional Training Course (FTC) and StrongFirst’s SFG level 1 Kettlebell Instructor and Ground Force Method (GFM level 1 Instructor). I also became a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Equipped with this knowledge and Principles, all our clients and Trainers benefitted immensely.
Personally, I have seen a huge difference in the increase in my Strength, training regularly with Kettlebells, thanks to the Principles learnt from StrongFirst Master Trainer Shaun Cairns over the years. My mobility also has increased, thanks to the GFM training Principles.
New journey as a Freelancer
In the beginning of year 2020, I decided to move out of FMA Fitness and decided to start a new journey of working as a Freelancer Personal Trainer.
My vision is to see all members of our Society get Stronger, move better and become their Best & Strongest Version.
