Why I decided to setup my new “Strength Training Facility” offering both online and face-to-face classes?

It’s been a while since I wrote a blog although I have been quite active in posting regular updates with photos and videos from my new Strength Training facility on social media. So, if you haven’t so far, then please follow me on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook where I am by the name of “Strength Coach Jazz Gulati”. Let me share with you some reasons why I decided to setup my PT Studio/ Strength Training facility.

  • First of all, after the Corona Pandemic hit the World badly in 2020 and in the same year, I decided to leave the business partnership of the Fitness and Martial Arts Academy which I had envisioned and co-founded in 2013, I embraced the new change coming in the field of fitness where Trainers all over the World started offering Online classes. I started offering the same too, to my existing PT Clients. But at the same time, there was a this feeling to have a physical set-up as well where a client can come in to train when the lockdown gets removed and when things are bit normal in terms of infection rates.
  • Life has it’s own twists and turns. The SFL Barbell certification conducted by StrongFirst was supposed to be held in 2020 but due to Corona pandemic kept getting delayed and there was quite a bit of uncertainty as to whether or when it will be held in India. I hadn’t enrolled for it but life has it’s own ways and a friend/student known to me called me and requested me to attend as he won’t be, due to family circumstances and personal health issues. I decided to take up this God sent opportunity and attended SFL in October 2021 in Chennai. In life, once you start on something, it’s usually one thing leads to another and then to another. I got a chance to re-certify my SFG 1 (StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor level 1) certification and managed to pass some of the SFL requirements, the rest I am supposed to submit in 6 months time frame. This means that I need to train regularly using a Barbell and need quite a lot of heavy weight plates. This further led me to invest in a full Barbell, Squat rack, Flat Bench, mats etc set-up.
  • Due to Covid situation and the increase in people working from home, led to a drop in the number of people coming to Delhi for Jobs as well as moving out of the existing tenants to their hometown and small cities. My family also witnessed this change and we too had a tenant who vacated our 3rd floor room which has a great outdoor sitting area surrounded by natural beauty of trees and different bird species visiting these trees. Once my family approved the Barbell setup to be moved to the vacated 3rd floor room, this meant I now had plenty of space to setup my Kettlebells collection, Barbell, Squat rack, Bench etc as well as get our Welder to install a new set of Dips Bars and Pull-up Bars outside the room near where I already have a TRX Suspension Training System setup.
  • The setup in this room on our 3rd floor has saved me a huge amount of commercial rent had I taken up any commercial space in my area. I have installed StrongFirst Pavel old-time Strongmen Collage Wallpaper pasted in my PT studio which looks amazing. This is just the thing I had envisioned when my brother started encouraging me to have some Wallpapers inside on the walls. The Indian Flag just above my work desk looks great. The Work desk has my Internet connection which offers me the flexibility to take regular online classes with my PT clients. The outside area receives plenty of sunshine and I often makes the most of it as I am doing now, by typing out this blog on my laptop with a solid internet connection on the terrace under the Sun.
  • Barbell is known as the Ultimate tool for Strength Building as one can load really heavy weights on a Barbell. My clients and I am already using this fantastic tool along with Kettlebells, Pull-up bars, dips bars, TRX to get great results for ourselves. My new Strength Training Facility/ PT studio is complete with the addition of Barbell set-up.
  • Tools like Kettlebells, Pull-up bars, Barbells at one’s home can provide a lot of freedom, flexibility, savings in not needing to take up a gym membership and are the best tools in the Fitness Industry. They are much more effective than expensive gym machines, cardio machines. Although, not everyone might have the space in their homes for Barbell set-up or maybe the money to invest in Barbells but kettlebells are a great option as they occupy much much lesser space and are less expensive and virtually indestructible.
